Even if you haven’t collected data yet, it is helpful to know how you will use the data when you are still in the assessment planning stages. Participants will learn how to create and customize graphs, apply filters to view subsets of data, create saved views of data, export data, and more! This session will include a live demonstration of each of these tools via the StudentVoice website.

Patricia Ketcham, PhD, is the Associate Director, Health Promotion at Oregon State University, serves as the assessment coordinator for Student Health Services, represents SHS on the Student Affairs Assessment Council. Jo Alexander is a sign language interpreter and is the Program Manager for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Access Services at Oregon State University. She was a neophyte in assessment prior to joining the Division of Student Affairs Assessment Council at Oregon State University. Rick DeBellis Ed.M. is an Assistant Director in Department and Student Services for Extended Campus at Oregon State University. He has worked in Residence Life, Admissions, Orientation, and now with Online Learning Student Services. Rick also served as the National Orientation Directors Association Databank Editor from 2005-2009.

D. in Educational Research and Policy Analysis from North Carolina State University and a Master of Science degree in Counseling and Human Development from Radford University. Carrie has held positions in student affairs for the past twelve years including work with University Housing and the Office of Student Conduct. She is currently the Director of Student Affairs Research and Assessment at NC State University. In her roles as an assessment professional, Carrie has served as a consultant for assessing both curricular and co-curricular programs, and she currently serves as the NASPA Assessment, Evaluation, and Research Knowledge Community co-chair.

Dr. Nathan K. Lindsay is the Director of Student Life Assessment at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. His research interests include efforts to enhance the holistic development of students, the improvement of learning and teaching, the integration of technology into higher education contexts, and international/comparative issues in higher education. He currently serves on the Leadership Team of the NASPA Assessment, Evaluation, and Research Knowledge Community.
