During this session we will provide step-by-step instructions on how to use the tools and functions available in the StudentVoice results site to review your data. Even if you haven't collected data yet, it is helpful to know how you will use the data when you are still in the assessment planning stages. Participants will learn how to create and customize graphs, apply filters to view subsets of data, create saved views of data, export data, and more! This session will include a live demonstration of each of these tools via the StudentVoice website.

Most institutions begin their "green" movement through facilities and systems management such as building greener buildings, using more energy efficient light bulbs, recycling, etc. But what they are missing is connecting their sustainability efforts to student learning and assessing that learning. This session looks at how you can tie your sustainability and assessment efforts together. It will focus on creating learning outcomes around sustainability issues as well as assessment tools to help you assess those outcomes.

About the presenters:
Dr. Kimberly Yousey-Elsener is a freelance higher education assessment consultant and adjunct faculty member at West Virginia University. She also serves as the Chair-Elect for ACPA's Commission on Assessment and is the assessment liaison with ACPA's Task force on Sustainability. She earned her PhD. in higher education administration from New York University.

Staci Lynne Ripkey is Director for Orientation / Associate Director for Advising at New York University's College of Arts and Science, as well as an active member of the NYU Sustainability Advocates program. Staci earned her masters degree in higher education/student personnel administration from NYU, and is currently working toward her doctorate in higher education at Teachers College, Columbia University.

About the presenters:
Margaret Leary is the Associate Dean of Students in the Student Affairs Division at the University of San Diego. In her current position, she develops and coordinates assessment efforts designed to understand student learning and development within the division and with key constituents at the University. Margaret also has experience in residential life developing living-learning communities and residential curriculum. Margaret holds a B.S. in Accountancy and an M.S. in Counseling and Human Services.

Gavin Henning is the Associate Director for Assessment at Dartmouth College. In his current position, he supports assessment and evaluation initiatives across the institution. In addition to 10 years in student affairs assessment, Gavin also has experience in a variety of student affairs areas including residential life and judicial affairs as well as teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level. He holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies and is past chair of ACPA's Commission for Assessment and Evaluation.
