I am looking for research/data/assessment dealing with the subject of student workers and how this work is a segway to professional development skills - i.e. leadership, outreach, communication, etc. If you have information, I would appreciate your response.

We just finished a student employee survey at UNCG. Ours was focused on employment within the Division of Student Affairs only. I designed it around several learning domains. I have just started to analyze the data but will be willing to share results, items, etc. I did a pre-post.
