Eric Reich
President
Co-Founder
Eric Reich has led StudentVoice from its inception to its current place as the leading assessment community and technology platform in higher education. Today, Eric determines the strategic direction of StudentVoice, evaluating alliances and acquisitions that serve to grow both the capabilities and campus membership of the company.
While working towards his J.D. and M.B.A. degrees at the University at Buffalo, Eric had the experience of serving as the student representative on the University Council (the equivalent of the Board of Trustees). On the Council, Eric pioneered a system of linking assessment data to the unique challenges of colleges and universities. The resulting program was awarded the Panasci Entrepreneurial Award by the University, forming StudentVoice.
Michael Weisman
Executive Vice President, Campus Relations
Co-Founder
Michael Weisman has been instrumental in the forward evolution of StudentVoice, assisting in strategic, operational and financial roles since its beginnings. Michael currently directs the StudentVoice Campus Relations team in delivering a consistent and integrated Member Campus experience through a unified sales and services organization.
Michael is a past winner of the Panasci Entrepreneurial Award at the University at Buffalo, where he earned his M.B.A.
Kim VanDerLinden
Vice President, Assessment Programs
Kim VanDerLinden is a nationally recognized assessment professional who leads all assessment related content strategy development at StudentVoice.
A leading voice among the national dialogue on assessment practice, Dr. VanDerLinden has delivered over 100 presentations and workshops on assessment and is currently an adjunct faculty member at Canisius College where she teaches the course on Research Methods and Assessment.
Equally comfortable in both academic and student affairs and four-year and two-year settings, Kim previously coordinated student affairs assessment at the University of Utah, utilizing StudentVoice, and worked in institutional research at the College of DuPage, where she assisted with the accreditation process under the guidelines of Academic Quality Improvement Project.
Dr. VanDerLinden holds a Ph.D. from Michigan State University.
Robert Willer
Vice President, Information Technology
A demonstrated leader in the development of higher education software platforms, Bob Willer defines the strategic design, development, and deployment of all StudentVoice technology initiatives. In addition to leading the internal products and services infrastructure group, Bob also guides all joint R&D efforts with StudentVoice Member Campuses, allowing all platform users to have a direct impact on future platform functionality.
Prior to StudentVoice, Bob was Chief Technology Officer of LiquidMatrix Corporation, a higher education enrollment management technology platform. Upon LiquidMatrix being acquired by Datatel, Bob led the integration efforts to combine all corporate technology assets involved in that purchase and joined StudentVoice soon thereafter.
A veteran of leading emerging technology companies, Bob has spent time in leadership roles with TuneUp.com, where he developed extensive subscriber-based web solutions named one of PCMagazine’s Top 100, and also with Quarterdeck Corporation, which was acquired by Symantec in 1998.
Doug Fraser
Associate Vice President, Campus Relations
Doug Fraser brings significant experience and innovative thinking to his role of expanding the roster of StudentVoice Member campuses.
Doug’s place as an innovator in the advancement of new business partnerships and relationships in higher education is well documented. Prior to joining StudentVoice, Doug worked for Gannett, where he assisted in the establishment of USA Today as an accepted publication for use in higher education curricula. Under Doug’s leadership, the innovative Collegiate Readership Program grew from infancy to hundreds of institutions across North America.
Through his successful, unique positioning of USA Today as a trusted partner among higher education national associations such as NASPA and ACPA, Doug was selected as a Trustee for the ACPA Foundation, a position he still holds today.
Jill Wright
Director, Campus Relations
Jill Wright brings to StudentVoice her significant experience in growing companies in higher education across more than a decade.
Jill served in client services and product manager roles as an early employee of eCollege.com, prior to its eventual acquisition by Pearson Education. After assisting in creation of the original infrastructure for a start-up online university, Jill joined Gannet and the USA Today, where she served as the Director for Higher Education Programs until joining StudentVoice.
Jill holds her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. from the University of Denver and currently serves on the NASPA Advisory Board for Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
John White
Director, Assessment Programs
In serving as the lead contact for all StudentVoice Member Campuses, John White is responsible for maintaining relationships with a network of student services, institutional research, and assessment professionals, as well as leading all internal assessment coordinators and support staff at StudentVoice. In addition to his management role, John also maintains an active presence in the coordination of assessment and evaluation projects, including the design and implementation of assessment projects at several Member Campus institutions.
Prior to joining StudentVoice, John was responsible for assessment efforts for the Department of University Housing at the University of Georgia. Jon’s past experience also includes student affairs roles at Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech and Northern Arizona University. He has given presentations and workshops at the local, regional, and national level on topics including assessment project construction, supervision and management, and the use of student development theory data.
Dr. White holds his Ph.D. from the University of Georgia.
Sean Townsend
Director, Software Development
Sean Townsend leads all development efforts and manages a diverse product engineering team responsible for stimulating creativity and innovation in the StudentVoice platform.
A veteran software developer himself, Sean is a noted expert in the areas of data systems movement and analytics with extensive experience with rapid growth ventures, having previously served in leading development and architecture roles at InfoMiners, a health care data management start-up that was acquired by Ingenix. At Ingenix, Sean was selected as one of only a handful engineer’s companywide to build rapid prototypes for new product development.
Aaron Severs
Director, Product Management
Aaron Severs joined StudentVoice in 2009 as a result of the acquisition of CollegiateLink, a company he co-founded that is known for having built the most comprehensive and widely used online tool for co-curricular participation and student group management.
Currently, Severs manages the product planning, release, and support of the StudentVoice activities and participation platforms, including the eventual consolidation of the CollegiateLink, Club Manager and SV Tracking product lines. Aaron is a regular presenter at NASPA, ACPA, ACUI and NACA conferences on topics such as the use of technology to promote student engagement, the documentation of out-of-the classroom learning and technology trends in Student Affairs.
Kevin Opp
Director, Campus Engagement
With a wealth of experience in design and marketing for higher education, Kevin Opp leads all communications efforts for StudentVoice.
Prior to joining StudentVoice, Kevin was a Vice President and Director of Graphic Services for Cannon Design, an international architectural and engineering firm with significant ties to higher education where he led a team that provided branding, marketing, and environmental graphic design services to colleges and universities throughout North America. Kevin has received recognition from the Type Directors Club, American Corporate Identity, Print Magazine, the Public Relations Society of America, and the Association of Graphic Arts and has also taught design courses at the University at Buffalo since beginning his design career with IBM.
Joanna Austin
Director, Human Resources and Administration
Joanna Austin coordinates all internal operational aspects at StudentVoice, including human resources, benefits administration, recruiting, training, employee relations, billing and payroll.
Prior to StudentVoice, Joanna served as a Corporate Recruiter for New Era Cap, assisting in the recruitment, development and training of over 1,800 employees worldwide. She has also has experience as a staffing consultant for corporations and specialized in talent acquisition, training, and professional development in human resources. Joanna is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
Joanna earned her M.B.A. from St. Bonaventure University.
