ASHE is “a scholarly society … dedicated to higher education as a field of study.” It “promotes collaboration among its members and others engaged in the study of higher education through research, conferences, and publications…” As one of seven divisions for ASHE conferences, assessment plays an important role in acquiring pertinent information related to higher education. Membership is available to any individual interested in higher education.

ASHE’s annual conference is merely one way that members access information it has gathered. Publications also serve as a vehicle to disseminate information to members.

Assessment
ASHE understands the growing interest in assessment among higher education institutions, and has made it an important part of its annual conference. Members are encouraged to share their experiences in assessment at the conference to aid other members in ongoing assessment projects.
