About the Position

The Director, Human Resources and Administration position is a unique opportunity to provide organization and leadership to a dynamic, growing organization. Reporting directly to the President, this position will be a key component in the forward evolution of a maturing technology company.

The Director will be the point person for all Company administration, including finance/billings, accounting, human resources, vendor relations and legal.

Essential Job Functions
  • Instill a sense of pride, passion, dedication, loyalty and cohesiveness within team members ensuring a close, collegial and fun working environment;
  • Assist in the recruiting, hiring, managing, mentoring, reviewing and retaining of staff;
  • Track and coordinate financial systems and programs such as bi-monthly payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable;
  • Apply for and monitor employee development, state and federal hiring and/or workforce development grants;
  • Create and maintain employee files to ensure compliance;
  • Apply for and monitor employee development, state and federal hiring and/or workforce development grants;
  • Coordinate new hire orientation and company sponsored staff events;
  • Establish and maintain a system of staff communications throughout the organization;
  • Serve as the point of contact for all external vendor relationships;
  • Manage general office supply inventory and purchasing.

The Director will be responsible for setting the strategic marketing direction of the Company and will be leading and managing the development/implementation of all short and long-range marketing strategies designed to impact campus sales and retention.

  • Work in conjunction with sales and retention staff to make sure all programs have the necessary marketing materials and press outreach to succeed.
  • Develop a five-year overall marketing plan as well as very specific one-year marketing plans for each year.
  • Lead the copy creation, editing and proof reading of all corporate communications;
  • Implement corporate communication and public relations strategies;
  • Gather and maintain competitive market intelligence;
  • Direct the creation of company white papers and case studies;
  • Provide strategic direction for Company participation in special events, trade shows, and sponsorship/speaking opportunities;- Manage company blog, forum and wiki;
  • Assist in the creation of a company newsletter;
  • Monitor and internally document Company media coverage;
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Assistant Director of Assessment Programs

Reports To: Director of Assessment Programs
Department: Assessment Programs Summary

The Assistant Director of Assessment Programs will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing aspects of assessment at StudentVoice member campuses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Interacts and communicates with StudentVoice member campuses to design and coordinate assessment projects
  • Maintains relationships with member campuses through participation in conferences, workshops, or campus visits
  • Appropriately delegates responsibilities and ensures timely completion of assessment projects for member campuses
  • Educates StudentVoice member campuses on assessment best practices
  • Develops and enhances an area of interest or niche with the assessment field in collaboration with StudentVoice membership
  • Assists the Director of Assessment Programs with projects as assigned
Educational Requirements:
  • Master’s degree required
  • Coursework in higher education administration or a related field
Experience:
  • 3-5 years of work experience within a higher education setting, with a focus on assessment
Skills:
  • Ability to lead a group of skilled assessment professionals and effectively delegate projects
  • Demonstrates knowledge of assessment techniques, strategies, and assessment data analysis
  • Ability to summarize and present complex analysis of data to varied audiences and constituents
  • Strong analytic, writing, interpersonal, and computer skills
  • Ability to multi-tasks and balance multiple complex priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of higher education in regards to structure and organization within institutions
