Student Online Readiness Survey

Before you enroll in an online course, take some time to think about yourself as a learner and see whether your characteristics would help you be a successful online learner.

There are two parts to the questionnaire. The first part addresses your personal learning characteristics and preferences concerning learning and the second part assesses your skills and comfort with technology. The results of the questionnaire should indicate your current readiness relative to the skills that can help maximize success in online learning.

Learning Style

Your online/hybrid class will require you to be the primary person responsible for your success in the class. Learner characteristics that students enrolled in online/hybrid classes include the ability to work independently, be a self-starter, participate in discussions, and be comfortable with little or no face-to-face interaction with teachers and peers. Take some time to think about yourself as a learner and see whether your characteristics would help you be successful in an online/hybrid class.
