How will all of this work? How will the study be administered?
The study will be administered completely on-line and there will be no technology requirements from your campus you will only need to secure the email addresses of the students that you would like to see participate. During and after the study, you will be able to go to a secure website where you can view your information and compare it to like institutions. There will also be graphing and presentation functions for easy transfer to your reports. Campuses will have the ability to launch the study at any time in February, March, or April of 2008.
What do I need to do to participate?
Although assessment can seem like a lot of work, one of goals of this project is to make it easy for you. All you need to do to get started is to seek out institutional approval for the study and then start thinking about what additional questions you might want to ask. You will also need to consult with the person on your campus that would supply a set of email addresses for distributing the study. Each campus will have the option of sending out the survey themselves (as an embedded link in an email) or having StudentVoice send it out on your behalf.

The study has been developed, reviewed, and approved by a committee of recreation directors from diverse institutional backgrounds.
How long is the study?
The standard study will consist of about 50 questions that can be customized for each campus’ unique circumstances it should take a student about 5-15 minutes to complete, depending on their level of involvement in your services and programs. Additionally, campuses will have the opportunity to add additional questions for campus specific issues. In short, it will allow you to quickly and inexpensively gather data to compare to other campuses and to explore some of the issues that you face at your particular institution.
