Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Sociological Study

This study will consist of an online 56 question survey for fans of MMA and MMA fighters will have a 102 - 120 question survey.  This research will investigate psychological and social aspects of MMA fighters and fans.  This study will lay the groundwork for future exploration of the MMA subculture.  This research will help to clarify some traits of the psychological and social profile of MMA fighters and fans.

There are no identified potential risks to this study.  Any risk to the subject is identified as minimal, meaning the risk of harm anticipated in the proposed research is not more likely than those risks encountered in daily life, or during routine physical or psychological examinations/tests.

Your participation in this study is voluntary.   You are free to decide not to participate in this study without adversely affecting your relationship with the investigators or IUP.  Your decision will not result in any loss of benefits to which you are otherwise entitled.  If you choose to participate, all information will be held in strict confidence.  Your response will be considered only in combination with those from other participants.  The information obtained in the study may be published in scientific journals or presented at scientific meetings but your identity will be kept strictly confidential.

By linking to this survey I understand the provided information and I consent to volunteer to be a subject in this study.  I understand that my responses are completely confidential and that I have the right to withdraw at any time.  I may print copy of this informed Consent Form to keep in my possession.
